Daniel J Permutt is an illustrator & character designer originally from London but now living in Hertfordshire, with 15+ years of experience across children's book publishing, print products, animation production, games, & education. He is inspired by Mid-century modern design principles and tries to impart this aesthetic, along with the 90’s television animation revival, to everything he creates. Over the last few years, he has developed a strong preference for bold, punchy linework that pops his characters from the page, while favouring a more painterly, lineless style for backgrounds and surroundings.
