Highly regarded Maria Placidi is an Italian figurative illustrator with a background in fine art and architecture before becoming an illustrator. Her studio is now based in Gran Canaria, where she works with Brands, Publishers, Corporations and Editorial clients from around the world. Maria has a Master’s in Architecture, which shows in her attention to detail and composition. She shifted towards evolving into her vector style with a strong emphasis on clever concepts and feminine characters. Her illustrations are recognised by bold colours, rhythmic shapes and a visual language that balances sophistication and playfulness. She is inspired by design, art, cinema, architecture and observing every day, life. She enjoys creative challenges innovative clients and pushing the visionary boundaries that illustration allows.
