Krista Heij-Barber is an Illustrator and character designer  based in the suburbs of Chicago. Born and raised in Canada, she studied Animation in College and shortly after made the move to the US. Krista began her career as an Animator at the Walt Disney Feature Animation Studio in Florida. Spending nearly decade there, she had the joy of animating on some classics such as Mulan, Lilo and Stitch, and Brother Bear. Soon after the Florida Studio closed, Krista began her freelancing career. Since then, she has had the opportunity to work on various art projects as a character designer, logo designer, storyboard artist and recently published a few fun coloring books on Amazon. Along with her own line of rubber stamps for Whimsy Stamp’s, she runs her own online store where she sells her artwork. Krista is definitely influenced by her spirited and comical children and dog Buster. You will often see them pop up in many of her artworks! Her clients include : Walt Disney Animation, Cricket Magazine, Ratan Design and Whimsy Stamps Inc.
